With its bold design, Edge naturally gets noticed. From the dynamic grille and smooth lines that run the length of its body. It also has a sleek roof, modern shape and the type of commanding profile that gets noticed. The 2021 Ford Edge seamlessly integrates power, performance and handling with impressive technology to help you multitask your way through the challenges of career, family and everything else life throws your way.
The 2021 Edge offers the most available driver-assist technologies in its class, to help give you confidence on the road. With sensors and cameras mounted at specific locations on the vehicle, you can be aware of other vehicles and objects that are beside and behind you. For instance, available Enhanced Active Park Assist uses ultrasonic sensors on the front and rear of the vehicle to help you guide your Edge into a suitable parallel or perpendicular parking space.
A safe vehicle should never be a luxury. That’s why we built and designed the 2021 Edge with available Ford Co-Pilot360TM Technology. And because we take safety so seriously, Edge was honored as an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK in 2021 when equipped with specific headlights.
How many times have you tensed up during an attempted lane change on a busy freeway? With BLIS you won’t have to bother your passenger with “Can I get over?” This feature can help detect and alert you to vehicles in your blind spot, while Cross-Traffic Alert can detect traffic behind you when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway.
It happens to the best of drivers. A moment of distraction — and you start drifting. But there’s the available Lane-Keeping System that can assist you when this occurs,* using a camera that scans lane markings on both sides of your vehicle. The system has three modes: Lane-Keeping Aid applies steering torque to direct you back to the center of the lane. Lane-Keeping Alert warns you through steering wheel vibrations that simulate driving over a rumble strip. You can set the system to activate either the Alert or Aid mode, or both. And Driver Alert sends out warnings in the message center when it detects repeated lane drifts — a reminder to pull over and take a break.
